RV Storage

RV storage can be a tricky thing, but it shouldn't be. The toughest part is fitting the big vehicle into a tiny space. Fortunately, it does not have to be that difficult. Thankfully, we have thought through the situation for you and have provided our tips here in this blog post.

What to look for in RV storage

  1. Space - Room to maneuver is important. The bigger the RV, the more room you need to maneuver your vehicle.
  2. Pull through parking - Pull through parking is a dream and it should be one that you make a reality. Look for RV storage facilities that offer pull through parking.  There's no need to back that thing up after a long trip.
  3. Security and lighting - Adequate security and lighting will give you the peace of mind that your RV investment is safe and secure.  It is great to have 24 x 7 security cameras that are always on and record when motion is sensed in the area.
  4. 24 hour access - You never know when you will want your RV.  Are you leaving on a trip late at night? Then you will surely need access to the RV storage facility at all hours of the day. Are you rolling in late from a long trip? It would be nice to drop off your RV and not have to leave it on your street for the night. Your neighbors will thank you.
  5. Close to highways - City driving in an RV is not for the faint of heart. Since that is the case, look for RV storage that is close to a major highway in your area. This will save you some headache.
  6. Look for less traffic - As mentioned above with respect to the highways suggestion, less traffic is less stressful.  Find a facility where the traffic patterns are in your favor.
  7. Parking surface - You would prefer not to be on grass, dirt, mud, or backed up in a ditch. You don't want to be an afterthought. You want to be a priority.
The RV lifestyle is a great one. For several, it is a way of life, but not an every day occasion. Unfortunately, there will be times when you need to store your RV for a bit. Keep the tips above in mind the next time you find yourself in the same situation. Good RV storage can be a convenient extension to your home. Quite frankly, it should be.
